General reminders happens all day in a
positive way. Pupils are reminded of desirable
outcomes.

1. Specific appropriate behaviour is made clear and
   they are told they are on 1.
2. Child is told that is a 2 and are made aware of
   the transgression and the desirable behaviour.

Removal Child is told they are on 3 for a
specific time (usually 5 minutes) and are removed
from the situation, onto a table / space of his
or her own within the classroom or school. This
gives a child time to reflect.

At the end of the time child is reminded of
appropriate behaviour and rejoins activity.

If a childs behaviour is deemed to be dangerous
or aggressive to self or others they can be given
an immediate 3 and time out.

Stage 2 of our policy is for a child who has
persistent and significant behaviour management
issues. We get very few of these.

What is bullying? Bullying is aggressive or
insulting behaviour by an individual or group,
often repeated over a period of time that
intentionally hurts or harms. OFSTED- 2003

• Bullying is when people are mean to someone,
  threaten, frighten or hurt them on purpose, more
  than once.
• It may be over a short or a long time. The person
  who is bullied cannot defend themselves.

• Verbal
• Physical
• Indirect

• What do we do to prevent all forms of bullying
  among pupils?
• We follow our policy, which is on the school
  website. This includes
• We regularly remind children all forms of
  inappropriate behaviour are unacceptable and will
  not be tolerated assemblies, SEAL lessons,
  incidentally.
• Anti bullying week
• Children are reminded all adults in school will
  listen to them.
• Lessons and activities are planned in all year
  groups to increase confidence / self esteem and
  interpersonal skills. Protective behaviours are
  taught.

• Playground pals ensure children have someone to
  play with at playtimes
• Staff have regular training / reminders to
  promote good practice and are vigilant
• Lunchtime supervisors promote positive play
• Children are taught how to deal with
  unacceptable behaviour from their peers.
• They are told to tell an adult straight away

• What do we do if we know about incidents of
  alleged bullying?
• We dont ignore it!
• We involve the parents
• We investigate concerns thoroughly
• We follow up concerns over time
• We keep records
• We follow the agreed sanctions of the schools
  behaviour policy

• What can you do if your child is being bullied?
• Tell us if you have any worries
• Work with us to support your child
• Talk to your child and encourage them to tell an
  adult if anything happens in school
• Reassure your child adults in school will listen
  to them
• Follow up with us if anything else arises in the
  future.

• What about if your child is the one who is
  bullying?
• Make an appointment to see us as soon as possible
  so we can discuss how we can work together to
  stop the bullying
• Talk to your child and explain that bullying is
  wrong and makes others unhappy.
• Talk to your child regularly about how things are
  going at school
• Give your child lots of praise and encouragement
  when they are being kind and considerate to
  others

• Our most recent pupil survey showed
• Nearly all children are happy to come to
  school..just 1 in Foundation Stage who isnt!
• Every child said they felt safe at school
• In year 1 and 2 only one child said pupils did
  not behave well at school.
