7 ABET Review dates of visit Nov. 5-7, 2006
- Mechanical Engineering 3
weaknesses, 2 concerns - Aeronautical Science Engineering 2
weaknesses, 2 concerns -
curriculum provides an integrated educational
experience students appear to be articulate,
hard-working, and pleased with the education they
are receiving
Faculty good. Students bright, enthusiastic.
Students praised staff advisor. Good working
relationship between ME and Aero faculty
excellent working relationships between the
aeronautical and mechanical portions of the
department something not found in all such
combined programs
- Response to Review sent April 30, 2007
- The BOA input is part of the Programs
evaluation (Assessment Questionnaire)
8MAE Curriculum Development
- New EME 107B experimental lab course
- first offerings Fall 06, Winter and Spring
07 - Student feedback
a design project should be added instead of one
of the labs
More mechanical, less electrical. Overall
fairly good emphasis in the right places
Labs very diverse content from physics 9
series, ENG 100, ENG 104 and EME 107A, etc
