Metric Units of Measurement Imperial Units of Measurement
Millimetres (mm) Centimetres (cm) Metres (m) Kilometres (km) Inches Feet yards miles
Most things we now measure in metric units.
However for distances to towns and peoples
heights we tend to still use imperial
measurements.
The length of my pencil is 19cm
My dad is 6 foot 2 inches tall (6 2)
Newcastle is 16 miles away.
