Title: More Evidence for Multiple Meteorite Magmas

1
More Evidence for Multiple Meteorite Magmas
Antarctic meteorite Graves Nunatak 06128/9 has
abundant sodium-rich (Ab82-85) plagioclase. Its
oxygen isotopic composition suggests it could be
related to brachinites.
2
More Evidence for Multiple Meteorite Magmas
Brachinites could be residues after partial
melting produced GRA basaltic magmas.
GRA samples have REE concentrations similar to
those produced by partial melting experiments on
an L6 chondrite.
3
More Evidence for Multiple Meteorite Magmas
Meteorite Group Volcanic? Albite in Plagioclase
Eucrites Yes 5-25
Eucrite-2 (NWA 011) Yes 15
Angrites (except one) Yes 0.3
Angra dos Reis Yes 13
Mesosiderites Yes 7-9
GRA-type Sodic Magmas Possibly 82-85
