Video Store Example

• A video store provides a rental service to its
  customers. In this part, you are asked to help
  the store calculate and print out a statement
  regarding to the charge for each customer. A
  customer can have multiple rentals, each of which
  includes only one movie. Each Customer has a name
  and frequent renter points. Each movie has a
  title (numbername), and value of each CD as well
  as a category. There are three categories for
  movies regular, children, and new release. Each
  rental records how long a customer rents the
  movie.

One Scenario

• The bronco rental store has the following
  movies
• 101 A Golden Christmas, 20, children category
• 301 Star Wars 16 , new release category
• 201 The Oxford Murders 20, regular category
• 202 The Law 25, regular category
• John has the following rentals
• A Golden Christmas, 4 days,
• Star Wars The Clone Wars, 3 days,
• The Oxford Murders, 2 days,
• The Law, 3 days.

Video Store Example

• The calculation is performed as follows
• Regular movie 2 for the first two rental days
  and then each additional day is 1.5,
• New release movie each rental day is 3,
• Children movie 1.5 for the first three rental
  days and then each additional day is 1.5
• Each customer earns a frequent renter points as
  follows
• Each rental earns one points,
• New release movie earns one more point if the
  number of rental days is greater than one.
