• Gangs are a big part of society today. It takes a
  lot of effort and organization to create a gang
  and keep it going. Gangs cause many conflicts.
  They have a certain structure that categorizes
  all of the members. They also have recruitment
  techniques to bring in new members. Gangs have a
  large population and location scale.

Conflicts

• The main subject brought up when gangs are
  mentioned is conflict
• When conflicts occur between groups, it will
  separate into 2 gangs
• In Lord of the Flies, this is exactly what
  happens as conflict is in their community.

• Conflicts are caused from social disagreement
• Some conflicts form into violence which is not a
  good way to solve a problem
• Other conflicts could be resolved but this very
  rarely happens

  Bloods and the Crips
• These gangs have been fighting since the 1960s
• They are fighting for power and dignity

• When gangs and war are present, they tend to
  break laws
• The law breaking in the novel is what caused
  the community to separate

  be the never ending controversies between them
• Conflicts need to be resolved in order for there

• They decide extent of criminal activity
• They are chosen by their characteristics
• Hardcore is the second level.
• Oldest group members
• Opinions are valued

• Want to achieve acknowledgment
• Want to reach the next level
• In level 4, the members are called Fringe.
