- Gangs are a big part of society today. It takes a
lot of effort and organization to create a gang
and keep it going. Gangs cause many conflicts.
They have a certain structure that categorizes
all of the members. They also have recruitment
techniques to bring in new members. Gangs have a
large population and location scale.

- The main subject brought up when gangs are
mentioned is conflict - When conflicts occur between groups, it will
separate into 2 gangs - In Lord of the Flies, this is exactly what
happens as conflict is in their community.

- Some conflicts form into violence which is not a
good way to solve a problem - Other conflicts could be resolved but this very

- They are fighting for power and dignity
