What is WHMIS

• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
• Provides information about hazardous materials
  used in the workplace
• Workers have the right to receive information
  about each controlled product they use
• Goal of WHMIS is to reduce injury and disease.

  vessels and include product identification, safe
  handling instructions and reference to MSDS
• Solutions that are made and not used immediately
  should be labeled with safe working instructions
  and product identification
