STRATEGIC PLAN ANNUAL PERFORMANCE PLAN
2
APPROACH FOR THE STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
  • The strategy covers the five-year period 2013/14
    2017/18
  • The strategy embodies both compliance and
paradigm imperatives of government as well as
    international obligations
  • The Strategy remains underpinned by SAWS line of
sight of Government priorities in particular,
Outcome 10 (related to the environment and lead
by the Ministry of Water and Environmental
Affairs). This provides both alignment as well as
elaboration of SAWS contribution to the
    achievement of the national priorities
  • The National Treasury Framework for strategic
plans and APPs was used in determining criteria
    for performance targets and indicators
  • The APP represents greater detail of the
programme of action outlined in the SAWS
    Strategic Plan
