• For this project you may work individually or
  with one person as a partner.

• The project handout has been given to each
  student, extra copies are available and a copy
  will be posted on my website.

Cut-away Earth

• You may use the material of your choice to form
  the earth. Suggestions are clay, styrofoam, paper
  mache.

• You may make your model any size but you need to
  figure out your scale so that each layer will be
  the appropriate relative depth.

• Your cut-away will show the inner layers of the
  earth.
• You can cut away 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 of the sphere.

• The surface of the model needs to show at least 3
  types of plate boundaries.

• Mid ocean ridge
• Great rift valley

  continents. Depending on which plates and
  continents also show the oceans.
