Central interest of our research is to understand
the molecular mechanisms that allow plants to
recognize invading pathogens and activate defense
responses that inhibit pathogen growth and
minimize disease symptoms. In this investigation
we use molecular and biochemical approaches,
including novel genomics and proteomics
techniques, to dissect plant disease resistance
and develop biotechnological tools for crops
