You have just finished reading Charlottes Web
by E.B. White. The librarian, Mrs. Smith, is
trying to pick out a new classroom book set to
order. She wants a book that teaches values and
science topics. You and your group members will
have to persuade her to get Charlottes Web.

Biologist The one who does the research on the
spiders. Geographer The one who does the
research on the countries. Reporter The one who
records all the information into the
workbook. Presenter All the members of the
group that will present their findings at the end
of their quest.

How To Adapt
This WebQuest could easily be adapted to a fifth
grade activity. One of our standards is already
at a fifth grade level. If you wanted to use
this WebQuest for a younger age group like third
or possibly even second grade, you would want to
alter the rubrics and requirement for each
activity based on your students learning level.
If you enjoy the WebQuest, but dont enjoy
Charlottes Web, you could easily take this
WebQuest and use a different story with different
activities.
