7Higher Education Capital Matching Grant Program
(HECap)
- Status The appointments for Approval Board were
made recently. - 150 million in State funds to leverage up to
600 million for construction activity and
equipment acquisition at private colleges and
universities statewide. - Institutions must match each dollar of their
grant allocation with up to three dollars of
their own funds to access the program. For
example, 3 million could potentially create 4
million for a project. - Eligible projects include design, acquisition,
construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation or
equipping of facilities at or near a college
campus that would enhance programmatic offerings
or student life at the college.
