• Both came from Solun and before than they went
  invite priest Rostislav to Great Moravian (863),
  they functioned some time as missionary at Chazar

• Cyril was born in 827 as the youngest of 7
  children. His first name was Konstantin. He was
  to brought up in Konstantinopol and there he

  monastery and he received name Cyril. He died on

• Metodej is also regular name. Originally he named
  maybe Michal. At first he functioned in state
  administrative service with Slovanians in settled
  part of byzantine empire. About 840 he gave
  precedence nunhood. He accopmanied his younger
  brother to Great Moravian and to Rome. There pope
  Hadrián II. consecrate him onto priest(868) and
  he established him archbishop for territory Great
  Moravian and Panonie (869). He continued in work,
  which he initiated with his brother and he
  christened of czech prince Borivoj. He died on 6
  th May in 865.
