The Church of Agia Paraskevi in the centre of
Metsovo. 1st renovation known in 1511. At
present it is a three-aisled basilica with
remarkable wood-carved items. Campanile built
between 1880 and 1885.
The Church of Agios Georgios in the Averoff
Garden. Renovated 3 times in 1850, in 1964 and
in 2002. Characteristic example of a domed
basilica, with a wood-carved iconostasis, a
pontifical throne, a pulpit and icons, dating to
1709.
The foundation of the Monastery of Agios Nikolaos
dates back to the Byzantine era. The
single-spaced, vaulted church is covered with
wall paintings, dating back to 1702 whereas the
eastern side of the porch was modified in 1800
into a chapel of the New Martyr Agios Nikolaos of
Metsovo.

Built amphitheatrically on one of the highest
peaks of the Pindus mountain range, at the
junction of Epirus, Thessaly and Western
Macedonia, the village of Metsovo is one of the
most picturesque towns of Greece and an ideal
place for tourists, who seek leisure and
adventure, history and culture, natural beauties
and a traditional way of life.
From the historical village of Haliki located at
1.150 m starts a route to a magnificent landscape
rich in natural sightseeings, historical
monuments, architectural landmarks, customs and
traditions.
