Vorticism

• Pounds collaboration with Vorticism (emphasis on
  movement, energy, intensity), and slight change
  in his idea of the image. It becomes less static.
• The image is not an idea. It is a radiant note
  or cluster it is what I can call a VORTEX,
  from which, and through which ideas are
  constantly rushing

• Hulmes modern geometrical art as an overthrow of
  the vital and humanistic tradition of the
  Renaissance.

  against mellow notes of music, soft hues or
  perfumes)
• Hard in terms of style, rhythm and emotion 1)
  being concise 2) close to everyday
  speechharshness of quotidian reality 3)

  methods 5) go to the dust-bin for its subjects
  (Pound) 6) avoidance of symmetrical metres,
  isochronic metres, which are conceived as soft
  and soporific. 7) neglecting syntax.

  issues).
• Poems by Pound, Eliot, play by Lewis.
• The first issue contains a Manifesto.
