Indonesia
- Program penelitian institusional ini
mengembangkan teknologi, komponen, produk,
sistem, solusi, aplikasi, layanan, dan konsep
regulasi Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi yang
diperlukan masyarakat Indonesia untuk menjadi
produktif, terutama mereka yang tertinggal dan
yang berada di pedesaan
5Tiga Tujuan Utama Riset ICT ITB
- Terbangunnya knowledge society yang produktif di
Indonesia melalui pemanfaatan ICT bagi setiap
warga negara Indonesia tanpa kecuali - Dapat membangun ekonomi digital dan industri ICT
Indonesia. - Terbangun kompetensi dan reputasi ICT
institusional Indonesia sehingga mencapai tingkat
dunia.
6Lima Stakeholders Utama
- Masyarakat Indonesia menuju knowledge society
- terutama agar seluruh masyarakat dapat menikmati
keuntungan (benefit) TIK secara terjangkau
sehingga diberdayakan menjadi produktif-entreprene
urial, cerdas-kolaboratif, dan kreatif-ekspresif
dalam konteks Indonesia. - Publik menuju eServices
- terutama agar sektor layanan publik dapat
berjalan dengan efektif, berkualitas dan efisien
(hemat) pada target layanannya. - Pemerintah menuju eGovernment
- terutama agar roda pemerintahan dan layanan
pemerintah dapat berjalan lancar, hemat, dan
bebas korupsi serta masyarakat demokratis dapat
terwujud. - Industri (termasuk BUMN) menuju industri TIK
global - terutama agar industri nasional tumbuh berkembang
dalam era persaingan global, serta menjadi tuan
rumah di Indonesia. - Masyarakat IPTEK, ITB, dan Lembaga riset
Indonesia menuju world class level - terutama agar IPTEK yang strategis dikuasai
lembaga nasional (kemandirian), serta masyarakat
IPTEK Indonesia tumbuh dalam lingkungan dan
budaya kondusif menuju kelas dunia dalam
menghasilkan IPTEK baru.
7PP Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi
- PP TIK adalah organisasi program, yang
memanfaatkan sumberdaya ITB yang ada di kelompok
keahlian (KK) - PP TIK memberikan nilai dari kompetensi
masyarakat TIK ITB dengan membawanya dalam
konteks kebutuhan masyarakat, industri,
pemerintah, dan dunia akademis. - Nilai ini dihasilkan dalam program-program dan
proyek PP-TIK yang didasarkan pada technology
roadmap dan research questions - PP TIK membina kemitraan institusi, pemerintah,
industri, dan masyarakat, untuk meningkatkan
peluang pemanfaatan hasil riset PP TIK
8Ciri Khas Riset ICT ITB di PP TIK
- Berbasis ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan seni,
yang memadukan ilmu dan kreativitas, dan mengarah
pada kultur digital. - Berbasis ilmu ICT kelas dunia yang universal
namun diaplikasikan untuk kepentingan Indonesia,
seperti ICT untuk kebutuhan masyarakat rural,
serta pembangunan industri ICT kultural. - Mengandalkan dosen dan mahasiswa ITB terutama
mahasiswa S3 - Selalu menggunakan ITB sebagai tesbed hasil
penelitian - Selalu mendorong pemanfaatan, komersialisasi, dan
entrepreneurships di bidang ICT.

- Mengandalkan kompetensi riset, peneliti, serta
kelompok keahlian ITB - Melaksanakan program riset untuk inovasi
teknologi baru, menghasilkan produk dan jasa,
memberikan solusi, serta melakukan studi policy
dan regulasi - Bertujuan membangun teknologi, produk, jasa, dan
aplikasi, dan regulasi yang diperlukan dalam
knowledge society - Berimpak bagi pembangunan masyarakat, industri,
dan lembaga riset.

Digital Economy
- Impak dan nilai strategis dari pegelaran sistem
ini adalah - termanfaatkannya ICT untuk membangun ekonomi
masyarakat (digital economy) - teratasinya masalah kesenjangan digital (digital
divide) - terbangunnya industri telekomunikasi nasional
sehingga dapat memberika multiplier effect dari
investasi ICT Indonesia - Teratasinya ketergantungan akan produk asing
(digital dependency).
