2 Respiratory tract infections are a major
public health issue Prevention in high risk
populations relias mainly on vaccination
Vaccination is highly recommended in decrease
absenteism 1
3 INTRODUCTION Immunomodulating drugs are
important tools in the treatment of infectious
diseases Immunomodulatory agents are
probably contributive in decreasing exacerbation
rates 2
4 MATERIAL AND METHODS
The authors present different classes of
immunomodulators that are currently in use The
vaccine , created from a bacterial protein,
re-educates the immune system to stop the
inflammation By preventing the infections,
vaccines prevent the development of a strong T
helper (Th 1) response The challenge is now
to inform about new possibilities of an optimal
prevention respiratory tract infections

8 INDICATIONS1.IMMMUNOSTIMULATION TREATMENT
- The prevention of acute respiratory tract
infections (Polidin, Bronhodin,
Aerodin,Orostim) - Adjuvant in the treatment
of acute and chronic respiratory track
infections- rhinitis
- sinusitis
- relapse rinopharyngitis
- bronchitis associated
or not with asthma
- pulmonary emphysema - Allergic
respiratory symptoms (IBC-10) - Viral
infectious disease - flu (Polidin) - Chronic
bacterial and micotic infections (IBC-10) -
The prevention of the relapses and chronicisation
of the respiratory tract infections
(Orostim)
7
92. TREATMENT OF HIPOSENSITIVITY - Allergies
provocated by bacterial antigens from the
composition of those bioproducts (Polidin,
Bronhodin, Aerodin, Orostim)

10 CONCLUSIONS 1. We find the metodological
recommendation of the international organizations
in the national auditing of the bacterial
vaccines immunomodulators produced in National
Institute of Research and Development for
Microbiology and Immunology Cantacuzino
9
112. In pursuit of clinical studies made in the
last 30 years regarding the immunomodulators
produced in the National Institute of Research
and Development for Microbiology and Immunology
Cantacuzino and also to the good efficacy of
those products we recommend the validity
extension to over 3 years
