    representation of employees by a Labor
    Organization
  • Processed by the Federal Labor Relations
    Authority (FLRA) for Federal employees
  • National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for Private
    Sector and DC Government employees.

Purposes of a Petition
  • Election Petition
  • To request
  • an election to determine if employees in an
    appropriate unit wish to be represented for
    collective bargaining by an exclusive
    representative
  • An election to determine if employees in a unit
    no longer wish to be represented for the purpose
    of collective bargaining by an exclusive
    representative
