Whole Class Enrichment 1st Grade
  • Whole class enrichment is a time when the
    challenge teacher meets with each 1st grade class
    on a weekly basis.
  • This component of the challenge program is
    designed to give every student a chance to enrich
    his or her thinking.
  • The challenge teacher models higher level
    thinking activities with all students.
  • The Challenge of the Week is an optional
    extension activity offered weekly.

    through drawing, writing, and talking.

    with the classroom teacher and observe students
    through whole class enrichment.
  • May and June 2007- Assessments are administered
    by Challenge Teachers to all students.
  • June 2007 1st grade teacher evaluation.
  • September 2007 MAP assessment.
  • Early October 2007 2nd grade teacher
    evaluation.
  • October 2007 additional assessments as needed.
  • October 2007 Committee review and notification
    letters mailed home.
  • October 2007 Pullout Challenge begins.
