Title: Imagery
1Imagery Geospatial Information Integrated
Concept Team Charter
2Authority
- The Imagery and Geospatial ICT was
- established as a TIER 1 ICT IAW
- TRADOC Pam 71-9, 1 Aug 98.
- The CoS, TRADOC is the convening
- authority.
3Purpose
- The Imagery, and Geospatial ICT will study the
integration of Department of Defense (DoD),
national, and commercial Imagery and Geospatial
operations and capabilities throughout Army XXI
operations and organizations. Ultimately, it will
affect Joint Warfighting through the development
of Army Imagery and Geospatial doctrine,
training, leader development, organizations,
materiel, and soldiers (DTLOMS) initiatives and
solutions through the Army 2010 and Beyond
timeframe. In this capacity, it will - Develop and synchronize Imagery, Imagery
Intelligence and Geospatial - DTLOMS initiatives and solutions, and identify
policy initiatives. - Manage and facilitate the integration of IGI
into near-, mid-, and far-term - Army force structures (e.g., Army XXI and Army
2010 and Beyond). - Build and broaden the consensus for Imagery and
Geospatial DTLOMS - issues across the Army.
4Scope
- This Imagery and Geospatial ICT provides guidance
and direction for the development of Imagery and
Geospatial - DTLOMS initiatives and solutions.
- Supporting Concept
- Capstone Requirements Document
- Operations and Systems Architectures
- Future Operational Capabilities
- HSI integration and experimentation
- This ICT will coordinate with the MASINT ICT and
other appropriate ICTs for the development of
Army Imagery, Geospatial, and Imagery Derived
MASINT doctrine.
5Key Objectives
- Develop, integrate, and synchronize ongoing and
future Imagery and - Geospatial DTLOMS initiatives in support of
Army XXI and Joint - Warfighting with an emphasis on the
development of CONOPS, CRD, - Architectures and Manuals (FM 34-56 and FM
5-105). - Determine near-, mid-, and far-term DTLOMS
issues, prepare - milestones, and intensely manage to ensure
successful and timely - completion.
- Identify Imagery and Geospatial issues to be
presented in other - Imagery and Geospatial forums (e.g., National
Imagery and Mapping - Agency Tasking Processing, Exploitation, and
Dissemination TPED - Analysis Process TAP, DoD Imagery and
Geospatial working groups - and Army Imagery and Geospatial working
groups, specifically the - Army I/GI TPED WG).
6Products
- The Imagery and Geospatial ICT will provide
guidance, direction and assistance for the
development of Imagery and Geospatial products
normally associated with DTLOMS and ICT efforts.
The key document governing Imagery and Geospatial
ICT operations will be the Imagery and Geospatial
ICT Action Plan. Imagery and Geospatial ICT work
groups will identify, prioritize, and develop
work group action plans for integration into the
Imagery and Geospatial ICT action plan. Other
products of the ICT include - Concept of Operations for 2010 and beyond
- Army Imagery and Geospatial Capstone
Requirements Document - Operations and Systems Architectures
- Training / Leadership Development Plan
