  • BC Govt, CAPP and SEPAC 1998 agreement to
    establish Fund
  • 5 million fund over 5 years
  • Based on industry levy (600/WA/annum)
  • Administered by OGC
  • Original Fund mandate
  • support and facilitate research and development
    of technologies designed to mitigate or address
    environmental effects related to oil and gas
    development
  • Original Fund focus
  • linear disturbance, cumulative effects, wildlife,
    air emissions, soil and groundwater remediation,
