Application Procedure
  • There are two methods of applying to a
    post-secondary institution
  • Paper Application
  • On-Line

Two Methods of Application
  • Paper Application
  • Students turn in a complete application (letters
    of recommendation and personal essay and
    application fee as needed) to the Guidance
    Office.
  • Counselors review and complete application,
    attach transcripts and test scores and send to
    the identified institution.
  • On-Line Application
  • Students complete and submit the application
    electronically.
  • Students then notify the MWHS Guidance Office
    about each on-line application either by
    submitting a downloaded form (as directed) or by
    completing the transcript request form provided
    in the Guidance Office.
  • Counselors send transcripts and test scores as
    requested.

Application Suggestions
  • Set a goal to have all completed applications
    sent by November 30th or earlier pay close
    attention to application deadlines.
  • Submit application or complete a transcript
    request form in the Guidance Office at least two
    weeks prior to the actual application deadline.
  • When requesting a letter of recommendation
  • Complete a Senior Information sheet
  • Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope or
    specific information about where to send it.
  • Send a thank you note!

  • ACT at MWHS on Saturday, October 27th
  • Registration is available on-line at
    www.actstudent.org
  • Registration deadline was September 21st . Late
    registration is accepted until Oct. 5th.

National College Fair
  • Tuesday, October 9th
  • Juniors and Seniors!
  • Must turn in a completed permission slip to the
    Attendance Office by Friday, October 5th and a
    completed worksheet to the Guidance Office by the
    end of the day Tuesday, October 9th in order to
    earn an excused absence.
  • All students will be transported by bus.
    Departure time is 800 am.
  • Bus will return to MWHS by 1215 pm and students
    are expected to attend classes periods 6-8.

  • Send college applications do not forget to
    submit the proper forms to the Guidance Office
    even if you apply on-line.
  • Research available scholarships. Local
    Scholarship information will be distributed in
    February.
  • Attend Financial Information Night Wednesday,
    Dec. 12th
