Where I Came From
5
The Pre-High School Years
From Elementary School on I have been in the
mix. I was apart of many extra-curricular
activities. Basketball, football, and I took part
in being a school safety, which I only did
because I wanted to go to the free tigers game at
the end of the year. Moving into these years was
hard because I just moved from Livonia to
Farmington, and I did not know to many people.
After a year I found the people I would hang out
with for quite some time, all the way to college.

The High School Years
Freshmen Year I had the choice of attending
three different high schools, Catholic Central,
Farmington, and North Farmington and I made the
best decision of my life by going to Farmington.
I had the best time of my life. Freshman year
took a little adapting but I got used to it in
the first couple weeks since I knew many
upperclassmen. I was on a State Championship
winning team for hockey and that was a ticket to
the Farmington Varsity Team for my sophomore
year. Freshmen year was also tragic because it
would be a year in which I would lose my best
friend to a car accident. Not only me, but my
entire school was effected and the end of the
year was kind of a fall out.

The High School Years
Sophomore Year This was my favorite year of high
school by far. It was my first year on the
Varsity squad and well it would be the best year
of hockey as well. We went 24-1-0 and were the
team to beat coming into playoffs. We would play
Catholic Central (25-0) in the first round in
front of 5,500 people. The most ever recorded for
a high school hockey game. We set the standard
for the next three years. Sophomore year I also
participated in the football program for a couple
months, but I lost interest because hockey was
going so well. Sophomore year was great and
wouldnt go back and change a thing.

The High School Years
Junior Year Junior Year was just as fun as
sophomore year, but did not top it. The team was
good but not great. This year I would join
National Honor Society, and be awarded with
honors at the end of the year. I had received my
drivers license mid-way through the year, since I
was so yond I wouldn't be able to drive to school
until senior year. My birthday(September 16,
1987) does not come with to many advantages.
Junior year was defiantly the introduction to
parties and having a great time when not in
school and not at home.

The High School Years
Senior Year Senior year was time to rock out,
and have the greatest time of your life. As a
senior you really dont do much as a student. No
important tests, and not to much to worry about,
because it was all elective gym classes. This
year I was being scouted for sports and I was
looking into going this route. Early spring I
went out to Boston for a few weeks to play junior
hockey, but then things were to expensive and
this is where I was in the position where I had
to attend Western Michigan University. I had
commitments to UofM and MSU but had to turn them
down because it was to late in the year to
continue the admittance process.

The College Years
College So Far College had been a challenge,
moving away form home, but it has been equally as
fun. Freshmen year I settled down, received good
grades, and took on seventeen credits. I had done
well first semester and was interested in joining
a fraternity. I joined Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and
from then on it has been a experience of a
lifetime. I am constantly doing things around the
clock, and it is always fun and there is never a
dull moment. I also joined the hockey team here
at Western freshman year, but sophomore year I
had to stop playing because of a dispute with the
coach. There were just to many players and not
that many positions available. I can not wait to
write the next two years of my life in college
because I think they will be better then the
first.
