    the world. The event is hosted by Thammasat
    University.

  • Participating teams will be given forty
    uninterrupted hours to analyze and prepare a
    solution for an international business case.
    Each team is required to present their case
    solutions and answer questions to a panel of
    honorable judges.

  • Eligibility
  • Each team will be comprised of four currently
    enrolled undergraduate students matriculating
    towards their university degree.
  • Each participant must be a full time student, not
    exchange student.
  • No participants from previous year TUBC are
    allowed.
  • No alternates are permitted.
  • In additional to the four team members, each team
    may be accompanied by a faculty advisor.
    However, teams are not allowed to consult with
    the faculty advisor during preparation of the
    case analysis, or on the day of the competition.
  • Team members should process expertise in a wide
    range of business disciplines from finance,
    marketing, economics and accounting, to
    international issues, technology, quantitative
    thinking, and management.

  • Presentation Format
  • The competition is divided into two parts the
    preliminary round and the final round. In the
    preliminary round, teams will be divided into
    four divisions. Each division will consist of
    four teams.
  • Each team will have twenty (20) minutes to
    present its plan. Before the presentation, the
    team will be given additional 5 minutes for
    set-up. THIS TIME LIMIT WILL BE STRICTLY
    ENFORCED. The presentation will be followed by a
    15-minute question and answer (QA) session
    conducted by a panel of honorable judges.
  • Each member of the team must participate in the
    formal presentation of the plan.
  • Teams must dress in business attire to maintain
    anonymity.
  • The presentation must be computerized using
    Microsoft Office 2003. The presentation must be
    in English only.
  • In the preliminary round, teams may not observe
    other presentations or QA sessions, neither of
    the teams in the same nor different division.

  • In the final round, the four finalists will
    present their case solution again, using the same
    presentation used in the preliminary round.
  • In the final round, once the final four teams are
    announced, they will be asked to leave the
    auditorium. A team, once finished its
    presentation, may observe both the presentations
    and QA sessions of the teams that follow it.
    The finalists may not observe other presentations
    or QA sessions until they have made their final
    presentation.
  • In addition, the final round presentations are
    opened for the general public. However, guests
    in the auditorium will not be permitted to ask
    questions to the teams.

  • The Judges
  • The TUBC organizing committee will be responsible
    for selecting and inviting a panel of judges.
  • Leaders from the business community, consultants,
    and executives from the multi-national company
    will be invited to judge the event.
  • The chair of the panel will be responsible to
    establish standards for comparison and goals of
    questioning, in order to maintain consistency
    across the final teams.
  • Each division in the preliminary round will be
    judged by a panel of three corporate judges. The
    final round presentations will be judged by a
    panel of seven corporate judges (Tentative). All
    judges are required to complete a feedback form
    for each team. The feedback form will be given
    to all participating teams after the event.
