  • 2002 Recommended by Pennsylvania League of Urban
    Schools (PLUS) to State Board of Education
  • 2002 State Board of Education passed resolution
    for value-added approach across the
    Commonwealth.

PA Proposal to USDOE
  • Feb. 2006 PA submitted proposal to USDOE to use
    projections from PVAAS as means to recalculate
    proficiency/AYP.
  • PA did not include value-added reporting from
    PVAAS as part of proposal.
  • April 2006 PA proposal deferred (not rejected)
    for SY06-07.
  • May 2006 States notified to reapply to USDOE by
    November 1 for SY06-07 consideration as a pilot
    state.
