What is MAPS?
  • MAPs is Multidisciplinary Academic Partnerships
  • This partnership, connects students and
    organizations or businesses through projects.
  • Actual business projects or problems are
    submitted and screened by a multi-discipline
    group based on problem definition.
  • Student applicants are screened on knowledge,
    performance in classes, and recommendations.
  • Student teams are formed, Businesses respond to
    RFIs

What is MAPS? How does it work?
  • Company Work. Company Needs.
  • Members of the Student team meet with the company
    to understand their problems and goals.
  • Analysis and Synthesis
  • Faculty work with the team to ensure that each
    element of the program is relevant, cohesive, and
    meaningful. Mentors also.
  • Solution Design
  • At times, the student team may sit down with the
    company to revisit initial criteria and ensure
    all criteria are met and all goals are being
    achieved (i.e. scheduled reviews)

    to insure solutions and resources are
    appropriate.

  • The appropriate post-program communication
    cadence helps reinforce learning from the

    immediate feedback from program participants and
    the performance feedback from company management.
