- _at_TEB Cymru Wales is the Wales delivery centre for
Technology Means Business. - It is a private/public sector partnership
including BT in Wales, Welsh Development Agency,
National Council - ELWa, Menter a Busnes,
University of Glamorgan and the E-commerce
Innovation Centre of Cardiff University.

- The importance of _at_TEB/TMB has been recognised by
Opportunity Wales. - All of their advisers are under a mandatory
requirement to achieve full TMB accreditation
through _at_TEB. - This will amount to 140 advisers from the
Opportunity Wales programme alone.

24Accreditation Requirements
- The first part of the qualification requires you
to demonstrate your practical experience as a
Business Adviser in advising small and medium
sized enterprises (SMEs) on the use of
information and communications technology (ICT)
to develop their business. - Your practical experience will be judged against
a set of standards made up of 5 units. In order
to pass this part of the qualification you must
provide evidence of meeting the requirements of a
total of Four Units.

- Unit 1 Build effective ICT advisory relationships
with clients - Unit 2 Help clients to meet their ICT business
needs - Unit 3 Monitor, evaluate, review and develop
your own performance as an ICT adviser

- Unit 4 Enable clients to plan an ICT intervention
- Unit 5 Enable clients to implement an ICT
intervention
27- The Second part of the qualification requires you
to demonstrate your knowledge. Your knowledge
will be assessed through evidence of your work
and through a knowledge test. You will need to
demonstrate your knowledge of - ICT and how businesses can be encouraged to
consider it fully in their plans - SMEs, how they develop and the role of the
Business Adviser (with particular reference to
the knowledge requirements of the SFEDI standards
for Business Support) - how SMEs can be assisted to develop their use of
ICT

The Performance Section of the Standard will be
used to judge the quality of your practical
experience as a business ICT adviser. You must
show that you can meet the requirements for Units
1, 2 and 3 as well as one from Units 4 and 5.

appropriate to the level and type of help that
you expect from them
