History Past Present (1)

• Missouri State University was founded in
  Springfield in 1905 as the Fourth District Normal
  School. During its early years, the institution's
  primary purpose was the preparation of teachers
  for the public school systems in the southwest
  region of Missouri. The first name change came in
  1919 when the school became Southwest Missouri
  State Teachers College, reflecting its regional
  mission.

• In 2005, the University's name changed to
  Missouri State University. This final name change
  reflected the changing nature of the institution,
  as evidenced by increased enrollment, admissions
  standards, graduation rates, graduate programs
  and freshman success.

• What are the exchange faculty expected to teach?
• 1. Chinese Language (Beginning,
• Intermediate Level). Textbook is available.
• 2. LLT 215(Asian Culture Studies), no textbook.
• 3. Workshop( Special topics on China), Once a
  month or more frequently, open to students,

• There are quite a few
• sports and wellness
• centers where you can
• go for physical fitness

Going Shopping

• Going to Shopping is not as convenient as that in
  Qingdao if you dont drive a car, but local
  church van takes internationals to War-Mart every
  Friday evening around 6 pm, or your friends may
  give you a ride.
