• Functional requirements
• Take all of the impurities out of saltwater,
  especially the salt.
• Produce a considerable amount of clean water in a
  reasonable amount of time.

• Qualitative requirements
• Easy to use.
• Easy to maintain.

• Quantitative Requirements
• Heat water to 212?F.
• Be able to withstand temperatures up to 1000F .
• Take out approximately 99 of salt and bacteria.
• One cubic meter volume.
• Cost under 250.
• Weight less than 30 lbs.

Recommendations for Improvements

• Support for evaporator could be stronger and
  lighter.
• The dish could be more accurately adjusted.
• A larger dish would speed up heating time.
• Not using rubber tubing would improve taste.
• Could design a better way of removing waste from
  evaporator.

What Did We Learn?

• The initial design will change a lot.
• Jobs and responsibilities must be delegated.
• Need to deal with team members different work
  styles.
• Keep with the project schedule.
• It is important to reserve time at the end for
  revisions and testing.
• Make sure to keep to a pre-planned budget.
