ASAC Review

• Ring specific comments presented by the
  committee
• Findings and fixes (shimming) on magnets are in
  good progress -- continue.
• It would be good to verify proper field in the
  presence of vacuum pipe (e.g. HEBT magnet
  measurement with beam pipe although Ted
  claimed the pipe non-magnetic.
• Good to see ring half cell to be tested and
  delivered to ORNL looking forward to it.
• RF work as presented is well done.
• Vacuum work as presented is well done more to
  go.
• Looking forward to see planned, detailed field
  measurement of injection chicane magnet near H-
  electron stripping foil in comparison with 3D
  mapping.
• Endorse the proposal of a new view port and video
  monitoring of carbon-carbon electron collector
  near injection.
• Good work is done on impedance reduction of the
  extraction kickers more needs to be done on
  impedance measurement of RF cavities.
• Continue to explore beam loss mitigation
• Fast feedback, as presented by J. Galambos, can
  be tried e.g. to position beam on the stripping
  foil
• Electron cloud (a) procure and install elements
  that can disturb ring vacuum system, including
  clearing electrode at injection and solenoid
  windings at collimation section (b) procureother
  devices as budget allows
• Comments on collective effects and others are to
  be included in the written summary (not
  presented).
