  • A couplet is a two-lined rhyming poem.
  • When you put two couplets together, you have a
    quatrain.

  • Choose a topic.
  • Think about that topic.
  • Get a clear image in your mind. It should be a
    very specific image, like a snapshot of your
    thought.

Writing
  • Write a sentence or phrase that tells about the
    image in your mind.
  • Bouncing, bopping through the snow
  • List several rhyming words for the last word in
    the sentence.
  • Go, know, low, slow, flow,

    the thought using a rhyming word from the list.
