• Maestro is a newsroom concept. It basically
  means to organize.
• For our purpose, the Maestro Concept is going to
  help our class create three team newspapers.

Teams

• The first order of business is to assign our
  teams
• There will be one newspaper produced per team
• Each team will choose a Maestro and will take
  care of every aspect of their newspaper -
  writing, design and photography

• Brainstorm story ideas
• Each newspaper should have
• one main story Your team will build the
  newspaper around this story
• news feature, sports, editorial, personal
  profile, review (book, movie or class)
• Each team member must write a story

• Photography take photos and work with captions
• Design two member mini-teams design
• Manager log stories and photos being turned in
• Maestro Monitor team, motivate and assist in
  all areas

• Match stories, captions and photos
• Peer editing session
• Revisions to stories, design and captions
• Take additional photos
