- Necessity of trying out new methods in the
classroom. - The objective of primary education is that, every
child should acquire not only knowledge but also
the basic skills of learning so that he learns on
his own. - Newspaper is the cheapest, easily accessible
medium for all the people. - Newspaper is a living textbook.
- The newspaper used as a living text goes a long
way in improving situations where the students
lose their ability to communicate clearly through
a particular language and where they do not
retain the previous knowledge and are unable to
relate the textbook facts to day-to-day reality.

with a lot of enthusiasm. - Learning a more meaningful activity.

- All chapters could not be covered.
- Consumes more time than expected.
- Parents inability to buy the newspaper.
13CONCLUSION
- The teacher to be well equipped and knowledge to
be updated. - NIE Programme has brought about a great change in
the routine teaching learning process. - NIE has widened the dimensions for students at a
very comfortable price.
