MANLIBNET One of the objectives of MANLIBNET
is to set up network of libraries to strengthen
information resource base with the objective of
resource sharing, and building a strong
professionals network for information exchange
leading to emergence of culture of collaboration,
cooperation , and help. This idea, in the first
instance, grew out of resource rich libraries
concern for resource deficient libraries. In the
decade of 1990s a large number of business
schools were set up in response to the demand for
professionals managers following economic changes
brought about by privatisation and liberalisation
policies and the growing competition. Most of
these schools did not have adequate resources nor
had the sufficient funds to invest in building a
library which would meet the current and future
needs.
