To Begin
  • You must be logged on to your own Windows
    account.
  • Log into VistaRad Program (desktop icon looks
    like a chest x-ray) - default is for VistaRad
    Viewer to open fully on both monitors. Other
    elements should be open as tabs on the tool bar
    at the bottom of the screen.
  • On Viewer screen at top left-click icon that
    looks like a double computer monitor (next to the
    I inside circle icon). Make sure both of the
    active monitor boxes are checked.

Manager Image Manipulation
  • On Manager window, click Patient Lookup and
    enter patient last initial and last 4.
  • Double click on the exam you want to open-wait a
    moment for exam to load (see Open/Reserved Exams
    window).
  • Clicking on the radiology image will minimize any
    windows that may be blocking it.
  • Use the wheel on your mouse to scroll through the
    images.
  • To close the study, click the file cabinet
    (close/update exams) icon at the top of the
    Viewer screen.
  • Log out of VistaRad-go to file (top left),
    Exit VistaRad.
  • Log out of Windows NT.

Special Functions
  • To expand desired image to full screen, double
    click on it. To return to smaller view, double
    click again.
  • For Ultrasound, to go through images a whole page
    at a time-click on an image, then use page
    up/down on keyboard.
  • To make sure you have viewed all images in a
    study Click on the preview window located at
    the bottom of the screen. Make sure all images
    have the eyeball icon next to them. If they do
    not, these images have not been reviewed. To see
    these images, double click the one without the
    icon and it will automatically pull the Browser
    window and load the image.
