Achievements 2005-2006..

• Trials on tunnel propagation technique carried
  out to determine optimal rooting conditions and
  media for clonal production systems
• Project able to produce rooted cuttings of other
  plants including Prunus africanus, Gravillea
  robusta and Warbugia ugandensis

Challenges/ Constraints

• Establish regional demonstration and training
  centres for clonal propagation to accelerate
  adoption and diffusion downstream and ease of
  access by farmers to the technology
• Up-scaling of technology benefits downstream and
  enhance entrepreneurship in forestry nursery
  management for sustainability.
