- Complete Action Plan and submit to DCELLS by

- Organise regular meetings to discuss action plan
- monthly or at least quarterly for first year

- Providers vary in size and are at different
stages in addressing ESDGC - self evaluation will help you understand your
position. - You do not have to be performing well in
everything - demonstrate awareness of strengths and areas for
improvement - be honest and plan action to address gaps
- develop a phased approach where appropriate
- plan for continuous improvement.

- All key requirement statements are combined into
one overall Evaluation and Planning for Action
Checklist to aid evaluation and planning. - The Checklist forms the basis for your completed
Action Plan. - It will enable you to see where you are making
the most improvements and where you need to
improve at a glance.

- Use a structured and systematic approach to
evaluate your current position. - Concentrate on one section at a time (Sections
1-4). - Read the guidance within each section (background
information etc) where necessary.

- As a team, use the Checklist, and
- Evaluate your current position against each of
the key requirement statements - Determine whether appropriate first-hand,
up-to-date evidence is easily available - Identify areas requiring action
- This will form the basis of your ESDGC Action
Plan which you will need to submit to DCELLS
(Template Appendix 1).

- Implementing a culture of ESDGC throughout the
organisation - clear strategic direction and vision from senior
management - involving all key internal and external
stakeholders. - Leaders and managers need to
- be fully aware of, and apply the principles of
ESDGC and - ensure a culture of ESDGC is implemented
throughout the entire organisation - through effectively joining up all the common
areas contained within the ESDGC Strategy.

delivery models, size and estates. - Some have responsibility for their own
buildings/estates, others do not. - The scope of this topic area will vary according
to the characteristics of your organisation - Many of the areas covered in this section will
