and spirituality.

- For the last 200-years, many individuals have
criticized the form public schooling has taken. - Johann Pestalozzi, Thoreau, Emerson, Alcott,
Francis Parker, John Dewey, Maria Montessori and
Rudolf Steiner, among others, "all insisted that
education should be understood as the art of
cultivating the moral, emotional, physical,
psychological and spiritual dimensions of the
