AMIT in a nutshell

• AMIT was established in Oct06 by an AA between
  the Technion, Alfred Mann Foundation for
  Biomedical Engineering (FBE) ATS
• AMIT is governed by 12 members BOD, half of them
  representing the Technion and ATS
• The dynamic core team comprises of 10 full and
  part time employees, and is supported by a team
  of several consultants and ad hoc experts
• Enjoying an extensive and very professional
  assistance from FBE
• Currently AMIT runs 5 projects a self-propelling
  catheter for GI imaging, a biomimetic surgical
  tissue adhesive, a cancer diagnosis system based
  on breath samples and 2 experimental drugs
• Around 35 people are involved in these projects
• For most of the projects, dedicated labs are
  provided in the MALAT building

• Developing a realistic Work Plan and budget
• Staffing
• SDP, RD and pre-clinical activities (mainly
  outsourced)
• Regulatory consulting and strategic plan

• Building the labs
• IP prosecution patentability, FTO
