About GHC

• Dane Countys first Health Maintenance
  Organization (HMO)
• Madisons only staff model HMO in which the
  Providers work for GHC exclusively
• Member-owned
• Governed by a Board of Directors elected by
  members at Annual Membership Meeting
• Not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Profits
  reinvested to provide expanded member services
  and create financial reserves.

Recognized Quality

• The states first HMO to receive Full National
  Quality Accreditation and the only local HMO to
  receive regional and national recognition for
  2004.
• Top Five in the Region for quality in 2004.
• Top Ten in the Nation for quality in 2004.
• GHC has been recognized in previous years for
  similarly high quality standards. In 2002, GHC
  was ranked as one of the Top 15 Health Plans in
  the Nation. In 2003, GHC was ranked as one of
  the Top 5 Health Plans in the East North Central
  Region. The rankings were awarded by the
  National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA),
  a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated
  to improving health care by monitoring and
  ranking overall performance and quality measures
  of the nations health plans.
