Title: Welcome to Sea World

1
Welcome to Sea World!
  • Are you ready to explore the world of sea animals?

2
What is so cool about Sea World?
  • Sea World has hundreds of different sea
    creatures!
  • Not only do they have cool rides and a water
park, but they also teach you about all the
    different sea creatures!
  • Sea World has amazing shows that feature dolphins
    and Shamu!

3
What are some of these cool sea creatures at Sea
World?
  • Dolphins
  • Stingrays
  • Killer Whales
  • Seals
  • Otters
  • Sharks
  • Sea Horses
  • Penguins

4
Dolphins
  • Dolphins are small, toothed whales. They are warm
blooded mammals that live in the ocean and sea.
The neat thing about dolphins is that they are
    friendly and very smart!

5
Stingrays
  • Stingrays are also called flattish fish. They
feel as smooth as a wet bar of soap! But you
better watch out, if you step on a stingrays
tail, the tail will swing upward and release a
poison almost as dangerous as a poisonous
    snakebite!

6
Killer Whales
  • Killer whale? Yikes! Should you be afraid? No
way! Even though this whale has a frightening
name, it can be quite friendly. The whale we all
know as Shamu is a killer whale itself. This
whale is the fastest swimming whale!

7
Seals
  • Seals are sleek animals. Unlike the other sea
creatures weve learned about so far, seals live
on the land and in water. Seals have hair on
their bodies and whiskers on their upper lip.
Their arms and legs are flippers!

8
Otters
  • An otter is a member of the weasel family. They
live close to water because they spend a lot of
time in it. They are small creatures that can be
found in rivers, streams, lakes, coastal waters,
and marshes. They can stay underwater for up to 4
    minutes!

9
Sharks
  • Sharks are the most feared out of all the sea
animals. This is because they are known for
attacking humans. They are carnivores, which
means they are meat eaters. They have very keen
senses which help them hunt for their prey.

10
Sea Horses
  • A sea horse is a tiny fish. Its called a sea
horse because it resembles a horse. Most are
about 6 inches long, about the size of your foot!
Baby sea horses form small groups by holding on
to each other with their tails.

11
Penguins
  • Penguins are unusual because they are birds, yet
they are also excellent swimmers. However, they
cannot fly like most other birds. Penguins are
covered with short, thick feathers and are black
    and white in color.

12
Other attractions at Sea World
  • Sea World also has roller coaster rides

and a water park!
