23Final thoughts
- Monitoring waste reduction properly is expensive
and requires a longer period of time to confirm
impact - Long term funding for campaigns is essential
- Acorn marketing tool not entirely
representative of behaviour towards waste - Too early to tell with confidence if waste has
reduced in Dorset pilots. - Reduction campaigns must be ongoing to have a
continuing impact
