• Conclusions
• Have basaltic dike and gull wing structure
  analogous to Brazilian discoveries.
• Prospective section thickens towards Paraguayan
  side of the Parana Basin.
• Paraguayan portion of basin is not covered by
  thick flood basalts.
• From currently available data, largest observed
  prospective structure has closure in excess of 25
  km2.
• Newly imaged thickening of Silurian section
  increases potential volume of hydrocarbons
  generated.
• Well locations can be picked using available
  data, but additional seismic acquisition is
  recommended.
• Seismic imaging in this volcanically intruded
  basin requires velocity modeling based on
  integrated geologic teamwork. Seismic is most
  clearly displayed in depth, not time.
