  • Some discharge toxic extrusomes (trichocysts) for
    defense/hunting
  • Polyploid macronucleus for normal cell functions
    (up to 860-ploid!)
  • Diploid micronuclei for sexual reproduction and
    producing macronucleus
  • Conjugation is one method of sexual reproduction
