210 Reserve
- Every year, by law, Georgetown must appropriate
or reserve a minimum of 10 of the fund annual
moneys for each of the 3 core CPA categories.
Those categories are
3CPA Core Categories
- Affordable Housing
- Creation, Renovation, and ADA Access
- Historic Preservation
- Restoration , Acquisition and Access
- Open Space
- Preservation and Protection
- Active Recreational Land
4- Once these reservations are made, the voters
must decide whether to approve or reject the
projects that the local Community Preservation
Committee has recommended for that upcoming year.
5- This year the CPC in public meetings reviewed
the suggested projects that were submitted. Out
of them, the CPC has recommended eight. - These eight were determined to be the most
prudent expenditure of the CP monies for this
year.

66- That completes the presentation of the 2009 CP
Committee Recommended Projects for this year. - Immediately prior to Annual Town Meeting on May
4th there will be a brief Special Town Meeting
held. During this Special Town meeting the voters
will be asked to modify a CP appropriation that
was approved last year.
67Murch Park Appropriation Status
- Original appropriation was 150,000
- Approved at the Annual Town Meeting of May 5th,
2008 (Article 27-C) - To date 53,900 has been spent.
- A result that is largely attributable to the
excellent management of this project by the
Highway Surveyor, Peter Durkee.
68Reappropriation Details
- The Maximum Estimated Cost To Complete Both Parks
(H. Murch and the Veterans Green at Jackman and
Warren) is 80,300 - The remaining 15,800 is to be immediately
transferred to the Historical Reserve of the CP
Fund
