  • Childrens Day (May 5th)
  • On Childrens Day, Japanese people fly
    kites in the shape of Carps and give gifts to
    their children. The Carp represents strength.
  • Religions
  • There are many religions in Japan. Some
    of the main religions are Buddhism, Shinto, and
    Christianity.
  • Festivals
  • March 3rd is the Doll Festival or hina
    matsuri. On this day families with girls display
    a set of dolls representing the ancient imperial
    court.
