Desmond Profile

• My name is Desmond Taylor and I was born and
  raised in
• Pleasant Hill. I go to school at Pleasant Hill
  High School, of
• course.
• I am 17 years old going on 25, well thats what
  some people
• say. I have two brothers and a sister. The church
  I attend is
• Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill.
• After high school, I plan to go to college and
  study music and
• how to produce it. Im a basketball player and a
  starter for the
• Eagles. The things I like to do is play
  basketball, rap, and chill
• out with my homeboys. For those of you who are
  interested, I
• have a cd out, that you may purchase for 5.00
• I have a lot of friends and get alone with just
  about
• everyone. I dont have to many problems (thank
  God) because
• problems sometimes bring trouble. I know a lot of
  the younger kids
• look up to me, so I try to be good and show them
  that you can
• look good, have fun, be cool, and not get in any
  trouble.
• The most important person in my life is God,
  because if it
• wouldnt for him I dont know what I would do.

Writing Sample

• I choose my writing samples, Self-Improvement,
  I Have a Dream, Roaring Twenties, and The
  Amendments because I loved writing on these
  subjects and they improved my writing.
• The reason I choose Self-Improvement is because
  this was an essay that I could talk about myself.
  I could search within myself and discover the
  things I needed to improve on.
• I chose I Have a Dream because I love history
  and I had to write about Martin Luther King Jr.,
  a man I admire. I was pleased to write on this
  topic because this lets me explore my heritage.
• I chose Roaring Twenties because this essay I
  feel I was able to write an essay that would
  allows others to know what the twenties were
  about.
• I chose The Amendments because it was an essay
  discussing what I had learned in American History
  concerning my rights and others rights in the
  United State. All of these samples display my
  ability to write effectively in different areas
  of my studies.
