Distribution of Beer

• Unlike the food, the beer is a centralized
  product the Calhouns restaurant chain.
• All the beer is brewed at the Bearden location
  and distributed to the other six restaurants.
• It is then stored in vats in the individual
  restaurants and ready to serve.

• They use a central data base client connection.
• Each restaurant sends in a different order to the
  commissary depending on customer demand

• Calhouns has both short and long term inventory.
• While the beef is held for weeks at a time to
  age, the rest of the stock is stored at low
  levels to enhance quality.
• This is possible because each restaurant receives
  2-3 shipments per week from the same suppliers
