4 What is Calendar?
Calendar allows one to access, and manage their
schedule from any Web-enabled device. You can
create your own calendars and share them with
your friends and colleagues. You can set your
calendar to send email reminders to yourself or
others before a scheduled event. There will be
calendars automatically created for you when you
enroll in a class.
5 Set Permissions to Your Calendar
Permissions are settings that the owner of the
calendar controls as to what others see and
change on their calendar. For example, you can
give all users (Everybody) or certain users
permission to see and change information on your
calendar. You can't remove Everybody. You can
only remove the permissions you give Everybody.
6 Subscribe to a Calendar
If you need to refer to or perform tasks in
user's calendars frequently, you can subscribe to
their calendars. Subscribing to a calendar puts
it on your Calendars list and gives you instant
access to it. Subscribing to a calendar does not
give you any particular permission for it. The
calendar's owner always controls what permissions
you have to the calendar.
7 Unsubscribe to a Calendar
A subscribed-to calendar or a calendar that you
created can be removed from your calendar list.
Since a removed calendar isnt deleted from the
system, you can search and subscribe to the
calendar again. The default calendar is your name
on the calendar, and it cant be removed.
8 Create an Invitation
To create an invitation, click on New event which
allows one to invite others to an event such as a
meeting.
9 Reply to an Invitation
After an invitation has been sent, the event is
placed on the invitees calendar, an invitation
is placed on the invitees Invitations List, and
an email notification is sent. The person that
sent the invite should receive an email if
attending or not attending.
10 What is Calendar Set?
A calendar set is a named collection of
calendars. For example, you might have several
calendars you need to refer to frequently. Rather
than bringing them up separately, you can create
a set and view all of the calendars at once. When
you remove a set from your calendar sets list,
the set is actually deleted.
11 Adding Calendars to a Calendar Set?
After a calendar set has been created, there
maybe a need to add additional calendars to a
set. On the Calendars tab click Edit under
Properties and make the necessary updates.
