• Most people think that all rats are bad and
  gross.
• The only real bad kinds of rats are
• sewer rats because they can carry diseases.
• But most rats make really good pets.
• They like to climb on your shoulder, run on a
  wheel, roll in a ball, and play.

What Black and White Hooded Rats Look Like

• Shown in any recognized color. Sides, legs, and
  feet are pure white.
• Hood covers head, neck, and shoulders.
• Color runs in even line around the body.
• Markings should be free of ragged edges or
  brindling.

How to Take Care of Your Pet Rat

• Cedar and pine are NOT good for rats bedding
  because it is toxic.Use sani-chips, aspen
  shavings, or shredded aspen.
• Lab pellets are the best food for rats.
• Yogies are also good treats for rats.
• Other treats are fresh fruits, (bananas, avocado,
  cantaloupe, grapes,) vegetables, (lettuce,
  carrots, broccoli, corn,) cheese, and regular
  sunflower seeds.
• NO CANDY OR OTHER JUNK FOOD!
• For water use a water bottle that can be found in
  any pet shop for small animals.
• DO NOT use a bowl, the rat will just knock it
  over.
• Change Water Regularly.

Rats are Usually Most Active at Night

• I took a video of my rat during the time period
  of 1000pm to 1130pm.
• I skipped through some parts of it so it is not
  so long. It only shows parts that my rat was
  active.

In Conclusion

• If youre thinking of getting a pet rat after
  seeing this, great, because they make good pets.
• Unfortunately, they live up to about an average
  of 2-3 years, so make their life-time a great
  one!
